Welcome to Wells House

Wells House is a truly wonderful home in Folkestone with a great heritage having originally been built for the author H.G. Wells who wrote a number of his famous books whilst living there. Newly refurbished, the home offers modern nursing facilities in a building with great character, sea views and a caring team of nursing professionals. Interestingly, H.G. Wells is understood to have come to Folkestone for the restorative qualities of the sea air and he certainly chose a fine location upon which to build his beautiful home and to this day we still trust in his judgement. The home has ample parking for visitors, wonderful gardens overlooking the sea with views of France on a fine day and an atmosphere ideally suited to a happy, healthy and relaxed life for those living with us.

Activities at Wells House

What could be better than being a stone’s throw away from the Lower Leas Coastal Park, a beautiful place to visit at any time of the year with views of the sea and perfectly manicured gardens to enjoy. We have a fun and varied activities programme and enjoy bringing out our residents’ creative side during craft sessions or their competitive streak when it’s eyes down for a full house with an afternoon game of bingo. We have just partnered with OOMPH! and are excited about our forthcoming wellbeing training and outings with them.
